The 2019 lecture programme was packed full of highly engaging topics, including maintaining implants, practical tips for success, managing complications and demystifying dental digital workflows. We had the pleasure to have the President of the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI), Abid Faqir presenting a special lecture especially for the show. The speakers at this event were top clinicians in their respective fields as well as multi-award winners, so you’re sure to leave the show feeling inspired and energised. The Implant Dentistry Show 2020 speakers will be announced soon.
Andrew has identified some of the major causes of barriers to the uptake of implant treatments by patients, and will discuss the techniques that he uses to improve outcome and longevity, whilst simplifying treatments and expediting outcomes. He will consider extraction techniques, temporisation, screw retention and the causes of loosening restorations, occlusal issues, materials for implant restorations, and impression techniques- they will present some of the simple and occasionally clever solutions which they use to help make dental implant treatments more straightforward for us and more accessible and acceptable to patients.
Objective: To consider some of the significant barriers to the uptake of implant treatment
Andrew devotes his time to dental implant surgery, research and development for specialist implant manufacture and Digital Dentistry. He has honorary attachments to University College Hospital London and The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, working with implant rehabilitation of patients who have undergone extensive resection or trauma. He lectures regularly on surgical and prosthodontic aspects of implant dentistry in the UK and internationally, is well published in the scientific literature, and has a number of significant innovations to his name. Andrew takes great pleasure in mentoring his colleagues in all aspects on implant dentistry with a view to enabling them to have confidence in their implant practice.

Marcus qualified from Birmingham University in 2000 and was among a very select few to obtain a Clinical Distinction. During his studies as a Dentist he developed a keen interest in dental implants and cosmetic dentistry. For more than 10 years since qualifying he has followed his passion, advancing his skills to a very high level.
He has placed and restored over 4000 dental implants to date and now regularly teaches other dental professionals on the topic of implant and aesthetic dentistry. He strives for clinical excellence and achieving the highest standards, and recently won a national Aesthetic Dentistry Award in recognition of the life changing dentistry he carries out.
Whilst he enjoys carrying out all aspects of implant and cosmetic treatments, much of his time is now focused on treating patients who are facing significant problems with their teeth and are faced with the prospect of losing most or all of their remaining teeth.
The skills he has developed and his experience mean that he is in a privileged position to offer patients life-changing dentistry with Same Day Teeth, giving them totally new set of fixed teeth in just one day. The results may be instant but go on to last a lifetime.
